Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that we enter every day. Whenever we concentrate on our own thoughts or emotions, with focused attention, and are not paying close attention to events around us, we go into a state of mind similar to hypnosis.
We all experience big and small traumas every day that are recorded in our subconscious minds. The small, negative events we shrug off and the big ones we try to forget. We may feel regret or grief, and go on with our lives, but unless we find resolution, we do not truly heal.
The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Matrix Re-imprinting methods I use, combined with Hypnotherapy, are proven tools to gently and quickly resolve negative emotions that love in the subconscious, sometimes for years. Even the most painful memories can be brought into consciousness and resolved in a short time without re-experiencing the trauma of remembering the original event.
Some of my clients grew up in alcoholic homes and were abused as children, causing life-long problems. I have been able to help them find resolution for the first time. Typically, after helping clients reduce the intensity of negative emotions, I use Matrix Reimprinting to guide them to a deeper resolution. I often can use hypnosis to strengthen the positive changes already made. The language of the subconscious mind is images and emotions. Hypnotic language is both positive suggestions and guided imagery that helps a person make the changes needed — stopping smoking, reducing weight, feeling calmer, and overcoming fears.
In 1958, both the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association recognized hypnotherapy as a valid medical procedure. Since 1995, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has recommended hypnotherapy as a treatment for chronic pain. — University of Maryland Medical Center website
