My Mission

I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist specializing in helping people to stop smoking in only one session. My success rate is about 98% and most of my clients feel no cravings! I offer a free follow-up session for the few people who don't quit entirely after the first session.

When I talk to clients who fail to quit after one session, they almost all tell me that stress from their jobs, their relationships, or other issues caused them to start smoking again. Fortunately, I have been able to help them with those problems too.

My Insight

After a successful career as an author and editor, writing about health topics, I became interested in using hypnosis for smoking and weight management. I had been using meditation for several years to manage my emotions and beliefs about myself. I realized that hypnosis is similar to meditation - a natural state of focused attention, which is also very much like prayer.

I decided that the language skills I used to write for the conscious mind could be as effective when I spoke to the subconscious mind.

Psychologist Michael Yapko, in his book Mindfulness and Hypnosis, writes that meditation benefits a person by increasing traits like patience, gratitude, self-esteem, and calmness. But while hypnosis can have the same effects, it has the added benefit of targeting specific goals like smoking cessation and weight reduction.

My Hypnosis Education

After 500 hours of study of hypnotherapy at the Florida Institute of Hypnosis, I continued my education by attending workshops with several influential hypnotherapists. Two of my mentors were especially helpful: I learned Ken Guzzo's procedure for smoking cessation and Sheila Granger's Virtual Gastric Band process for weight control.

Ken has had a success rate of about 98% in getting smokers to quit in one session, and I have been able to duplicate that success,

Sheila's Virtual Gastric Band procedure is the only hypnotic approach that has been clinically tested and medically proven to be successful.

Your Life is at Stake

According to CDC, the top 10 causes of death and the approximate number of deaths each year in the U.S. include:
- heart disease: 610,000
- cancer: 580,000
- lung disease: 149,000
- stroke: 129,000
- diabetes: 76,000

Smoking and obesity are major causes of all of these health risks and can be avoided by changing these habits. Hypnosis can make these changes relatively easy and quick.
